‘Shortly after moving to London as a teenager pursuing a ballet career, FKA Twigs realised that her passions in music and singing would quickly take precedence. Now, many years later, those artistic building blocks have helped to form a unique and personal sound that can only be described as graceful. Out with her debut EP entitled EP2 off of the Young Turks label, twigs has released 4 tracks of deep, electronic-ambient music of an intimate stature. “Water me” is a love song that rushes over you, bubbling with Twigs’ calm, sweetly melodic soprano and the most desperately simple and devastating lyrics. Mixed with booming synth echo and a crackling rhythmic undertone this is a track that doesn’t come around too often.’
