Helado Negro – Awe Owe

Roberto Carlos Lange aka Helado Negro was recently awarded with the prestigious United States Artists Fellow in Music award as well as the 2019 Grants to Artists award in Music from the Foundation for Contemporary Arts. This album is 10 years prior to these accolades. Spacious, exploratory and almost entirely in Spanish. Awe Owe is a fantastic placeholder to this artists’ successes and an homage to his Ecuadorian roots. A beautfiul electro acoustic example of the early years of the beloved Helado Negro.
