John Roberts – Paper Frames EP

Another beautifully honed piece of experimental electronica from John Roberts. Chopped and channelled bells, tines, pianos and strings somehow clangour into synchronicity at the hands of this talented producer. The title track “Paper Frames” is appropriately the high point and manages to get all of it’s unpredictable elements marching in a row with machine like precision. “Untitled IV” offers a brief John Cage like piano divergence and the EP finishes off strong with “Crushing Shells”
