John Roberts – Plum

John Roberts’ third LP released in 2016, is an intelligent and meticulously crafted piece of electronica . The sound palette is broad, playful and full of bounce and chirp that is occasionally contrasted by patches of lovely drones, ambience and textures in between. Structures are only sort of put in place and some familiar hallmarks of dance music are present but overall it is a vague wandering through a soundscape only really known by John Roberts. He is also the founder of the Brunette Editions label.
